Who we are
We are Sally and Emma, two women videographers who met when we worked for the BBC making award-winning documentary programmes.
The idea for Orchid Films came when Emma was getting married and couldn't find a DVD company that made the unique, documentary style wedding video she wanted.
So we've brought our experience and talent to Orchid Films, and now make wedding videos that are as enjoyable to watch as great TV programmes.
We are great friends as well as business partners, even though we’re like chalk and cheese ! Emma likes shopping, shoes and magazines while Sally prefers newspapers and walking or horse riding in the great outdoors.
We do have some things in common though. Both of us are happily married with children, and we’re sociable and friendly.
And we both love weddings - from the Jimmy Choos to the Jenny Packham dresses, it is a fantastic world to be in. As women we know how much time and effort you are putting into your big day, and we pride ourselves on spotting the all-important details.
It's a privilege to be invited to capture your wedding day, and really great to know we're creating something you'll treasure for the rest of your life.
